HERITAGE, LANDSCAPE AND GARDEN PHOTOGRAPHY BY JOE WAINWRIGHT
Thank you for visiting Beauty of Britain.
I am a photographer and writer with a passion for Britain's heritage of stately homes, historic towns, world-class gardens and magical landscapes.
The images on this website are intended to reflect, in a small way, how these remarkable national treasures add to the beauty of my country. I hope you enjoy them.
On my travels I aim for rural places, such as villages and market towns - where, in these times of dramatic change in the U.K., something of the past remains in the landscapes, the architecture and the culture of local people.
In particular, I favour the west of the country, from the wild fells of Cumbria to the misty peaks of Snowdonia - and from the gentle pastures of the Welsh Marches to the high hedges and red cliffs of Devon. Away from the conurbations, even today, these are parts of Britain that retain their uniqueness - a magic and mystery missing from more populous and intensively farmed parts of the nation.
